Puerto del Carmen
Village of La Tiñosa(Puerto del Carmen)
Torriani draws it on his map of Lanzarote in 1590, placing it under the name of Tinoca,
providing first cartographically this name. The spelling with a "c" shaped to match denotes the clear transformation into a "z", so popular that disclosure of the origin of this is entirely in question, to be pigeonholed as a character in the "tiñoseros" poor condition.
The first marriages of natural Tiñosa held in the parish of Tias, are held in 1830 when they marry Julian Garcia of the Tiñosa and the Asomada Bernabela Rodriguez.
In 1831 he married Juan Garcia and Maria Perez de Tias. In 1834, Julian Montelongo and Petra Rodriguez, in 1835, Domingo Rodriguez and Maria Gopar of Tias. These first families who settled and merged the Tiñosa are the Triana, Garcia, Gonzalez, Avero, Rodriguez, Arrocha, Martin, Caraballo and The Montelongo.
