Village of Conil
Conil is a village belonging to the municipality of Tias. The first documentation dating from 1618, he is,by the clerk of Teguise
 
Salvador de Quintana, who cites it as "term Conil say, they are planting land of bread, all of which will be thirty bushels or so." And then appears in all documents that account for the areas affected by the eruptions of Timanfaya, 1730, from the Synod of Bishop Dávila, quoted in Conil them among "the lost places by sand and gravel that has crippled "and was said to have then 17 neighbors.
Besides the village, the name comes from a mountain that exists in its northwest and by its small size is called Morro de Conil.

As the village is widespread, some of it is called Vereda Conil, and aside no other Conil Trail linking the village with the town of Tias.
We can not assure the Guanche origin of this name, but is most likely.

Conil right population is 361 inhabitants (1 January 2010)
