The Mill of José María Gil

The Mill of José María Gil Santana
The Mill of José María Gil Santana. This mill was built in 1870 by Baltasar Martin Rodriguez, secretary of the City Council, from a circular
which it was attached to a flour milling plant electric system. Later it was bought by the doctor Fermin Rodriguez and in 1919 became the property of Don Jose Maria Gil.
The mill consists of a circular stone, clay and limestone tower. The interior space is spread over three floors: one under that served as a warehouse,
the second with the output of flour and gofio or higher where the grain was poured. In 1920 the mill closes and is replaced by an engine fuel oil.
Currently this mill is obsolete and in need of restoration. The party was later built still operating and producing a gofio very good quality.
