Sweet and sour Sauce (China)
Ingredients for 4 people
7 cl. Wine vinegar, 20 gr. onion, 20 gr. green pepper, 1/4gr. cayenne, 20 gr. sugar, 2 gr. salt, 20 gr. ketchup,
10 cl. water, 3 gr. maizena,20 gr. Pineapple in syrup, 10 cl. Pineapple juice.
Preparation
In a skillet with a little oil fry the onion with green pepper, then add the vinegar, sugar and ketchup, finely chopped pineapple in syrup, paprika, salt and when boiling reduce heat and leave 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, dissolve the cornstarch in the cold water and add the pineapple juice, and when 10 minutes have passed throw dissolved cornstarch and simmer 5 minutes.
Let cool and ready to eat.
