In Arrecife major improvements are not operated until the last decades of the twentieth century.
During the first half failed to have the basic infrastructure such as sewerage and water supply, lighting and flooring. Most unpaved streets were kept in the early twentieth century. The Main Street paving begins in 1920.
The Head of Public Works offices is provided for directing the work that was needed
