Colombian arepas
Ingredients
4-5  Medium Arepas, 25   cl. Warm water, ½    gr. Salt, 150 gr. Pre-cooked flour for arepas, 1 Tablespoon butter,
100 gr. Grated mozarella cheese
Preparation
Mix water , salt, flour , butter and cheese in a bowl big enough to knead the dough.
Knead all ingredients until well blended and until the dough is smooth . If the dough is too dry , add a little more water . If too wet , add a little more flour .
With the dough into balls the size of a medium orange and place it between two pieces of plastic. With a rolling pin , flatten the dough to the thickness you want.
Cut dough with plastic over a cup of cereal / soup, a cup, a cookie cutter , etc. . Remove the plastic , the excess dough and already has an arepa with a perfect shape.
Cover a plate with butter spray or stick butter . Turn the stove to medium high and when the iron is hot, add the arepas. You can also use a skillet.
Arepas Roast for 5 minutes each side or until golden brown . Serve immediately .
