The César Manrique Foundation (MCF) is a private cultural institution and non-profit, created to preserve, studying,
disseminating the teaching of the figure of the creator César Manrique.
In parallel, the FCM focuses on the promotion, encouragement and support of artistic and cultural activity in its broadest terms, with special attention to the visual arts and their connection to nature and public space, open spaces integrated into the natural environment (art-nature symbiosis / nature-art), the territorial balance and respect the environment.
The César Manrique Foundation is at the home and studio artist who lived , located in the Taro Tahíche (Lanzarote ) . Maybe it's the work that best represents the ideals of personal and artistic Manrique.Edificada in 1968 on a lava flow of eruption on the island during 1730-36 , fail , on the lower level , the natural formation of five volcanic bubbles, to configure an amazing living space and exemplary performance in terms of natural space. Meanwhile, outside the house and upper level is inspired by traditional architecture Lanzarote.La César Manrique Foundation , created in 1992 , is a private non-profit institution .
